Title: Director, Disciplinary Review Hearing Office
What is the most rewarding aspect of your work?
Mark Twain said, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” I was created by GOD to work with young people. To be able to work with young people and help them “right the ship” after they have made a poor decision. My discipline hearings can be unsettling for the family and student, but I do everything in my power to make sure they leave with their dignity. I let them know I am not pleased with whatever they did, but I still care about them. “Hate the sin, not the sinner.”
What is the greatest benefit of being a NAPSA member?
The collaboration with like-minded people is outstanding. The opportunity to learn from fellow educators around the country and take what I have learned back to my district, is priceless. I am blessed to be a part of such a phenomenal organization.
